Dean Street – Collaborative Private Residential Project in Central Brighton with Marc Boase The design brief for this project was playful yet practical, crafted to meet the needs of a young couple seeking a functional yet vibrant living space. We carefully considered the best use of the limited space, tailoring the design to accommodate their future requirements. The property was in significant disrepair, requiring a complete overhaul. It was stripped back to its bare bones, allowing us to reimagine and reconfigure the layout. One of the most transformative decisions was to incorporate the loft space, which we converted into a spacious master bedroom. The design focused on maximizing natural light and framing the best views, while also making every square inch count by incorporating clever storage solutions. This ensured the compact space felt both open and organized, with plenty of options to maintain a clean, uncluttered aesthetic. Once the initial layout was set, we embraced a layered approach to introduce color, graphics, and texture throughout the space. This was achieved through custom carpentry, upholstery, lighting, art, rugs, and fabrics—each element thoughtfully specified to create a harmonious, dynamic environment which was completed by final styling.Featured in Guardian’s Saturday Magazine, January 2025
